The new program will offer specialized Wound and Ostomy Care to patients in Tappahannock, designed to improve healing outcomes and provide expert care for complex conditions. Tappahannock, VA: VCU Health Tappahannock Hospital is proud to announce the expansion of patient services with the introduction of a specialized Wound and Ostomy Care program, designed to improve healing outcomes and provide expert care for complex conditions. The new program will operate out of the VCU Health Surgery Office, located in Pavilion A on the hospital campus. Dr. Rodrigo Roldan, a general surgeon with VCU Health Surgery at Tappahannock, will serve as the Medical Director of the Wound and Ostomy Care program. โPeople with chronic wounds often face serious complications like infections, loss of mobility and a diminished quality of life,โ explains Lacey Fletcher, BSN, CWON, a certified wound nurse leading the program in Tappahannock. โWithout expert care, what may start as a small wound can quickly become a life-altering condition. Our goal is to bring specialized wound and ostomy care close to home so patients get the advanced care they need to heal and thrive.โ

Fletcher has eight years of clinical nursing experience and advanced specialty training in wound, ostomy and continence care.
